ARINC operates global communications and information processing systems for the air transport industry.  Linking more than 700 airline and travel industry information systems, ARINC offers a wide variety of reliable, cost-effective network services for financial transactions, security transactions, and electronic commerce.  ARINC is best known for its ACARS messaging service that keeps aircraft in touch with their carriers’ ground computer systems.

Many of the messages that make use of ARINC’s network, AviNet^®, originate and/or terminate on end systems that run using Transaction Processing Facility (TPF).  AviNet supports TCP/IP connectivity while MQSeries^® provides the message assurance and guaranteed delivery services that are required for business critical and air safety messages originating from TPF systems.
